Who is it for?
For anyone interested in Vedic astrology who wants a thorough start rather than a superficial one. You would like to get to know your own birth chart and understand its elements, you are looking for a structured self-paced course and you want to lay the groundwork for the Jyotisha Studies Foundation Course. No prior knowledge is needed.
How it works
You can start right after your purchase. You receive a 6-week study plan – one module per week, in well-paced portions. You are also free to go faster or slower.
Each lesson consists of one video; in addition, there are 8 reference cards to download, 169 flashcards for the free Brainscape app and a quiz for each of the six modules.
Certificate
Once you have passed all six module quizzes with at least 75%, you receive the Jyotisha Basics certificate. It is the prerequisite for the Jyotisha Studies Foundation Course – and as a Basics graduate you receive a €100 voucher for the Foundation Course.

Format & technical requirements
You watch the videos directly in the browser on your computer, tablet or smartphone; a stable internet connection is all you need. The reference cards and the study plan are PDF files that you can open with any PDF reader and keep permanently.
How long do I have access?
You have access to all course content for as long as the course is available on the platform. You can download all PDFs and keep them permanently.
Is this New Age?
No. Jyotiṣa is a knowledge discipline with thousands of years of tradition, based on astronomical observations and a sophisticated symbolic language. This has nothing to do with modern New Age — no wishful thinking, no oversimplification, but a structured analytical system.
Can I interpret horoscopes after the course?
You will get to know your own horoscope and be able to identify its elements — Grahas, Rāśis, Bhāvas, strengths and weaknesses. For professional interpretation work (Yogas, Daśās, Navāṃśa), the subsequent Foundation Course is the next step.
Does Jyotisha Basics count toward the Foundation Course?
No — each product has its own independent value. However, as a Basics graduate, you receive a €100 voucher for the Foundation Course.
